Dentures Options

There are two types of dentures – partial and full.

Flexible Partial Dentures

Full Dentures

We use full dentures for patients who are missing all their teeth. Traditional full dentures sit on the gums and are removable. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that’s permanently placed in your jaw and used to support a restoration like a crown, bridge, or denture. In the case of dentures, Dr. Barrett will work with a specialist who will expertly place the implants in your jaw. Dr. Barrett will then craft your denture with special attachments that snap onto the implant to hold the denture firmly in place. Dr. Dan Barrett attended University of Nevada Reno where he received his Bachelor’s degree in biology. He obtained his DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry in Portland. Dr. Barrett pursued advanced training in general dentistry at a general practice residency in Sacramento with the Veterans Hospital before moving back to the Reno/Tahoe area.
